Building and growing a successful business is hard work. Business owners are constantly looking for the edge that can help them succeed and beat their competition. When you need to solve a problem, develop a solution that will save you time and money or improve and optimize your operations, having access to the knowledge and perspective of someone who is focused on helping companies accelerate sales and increase profits can be very valuable. Brian Leitten is an experienced consultant who has learned from the best and has applied that learning to help a range of growing small and medium-sized businesses achieve superior results.
GROW & SUCCEED
Mr. Leitten has led and guided businesses across a broad range of industries: computer and software tech; traditional manufacturing; and business and consumer service businesses. He has worked with minority and women-owned businesses. He was a partner in a private equity firm and in one of the nation's largest intellectual property law firms. He started his career as an engineer designing high-speed nuclear submarines.
Trained at Fortune 500 company HillRom/Hillenbrand, Mr. Leitten was schooled in strategy, Kaizen, process improvement, mergers and strategic collaborations and financial management by the top experts in business and by global management consulting firms like the Boston Consulting Group, L.E.K. Consulting and other leading international firms. He has successfully applied the lessons learned there to small and mid-sized businesses across a range of industries.
Over time, all processes get bloated. Steps are added or not followed, elements get modified, often without the knowledge of organization. We use a tested approach to break down and analyze processes, finding and weeding out the steps that do not add value to the final product or service. The goal is always 100% value added, increasing speed, eliminating errors and waste, increasing revenue and enhancing profit.
For eight years, Mr. Leitten led M&A and tech development at HillRom/Hillenbrand. During that time, he helped increase the company's stock price by six times and grow its market value from $400 Million to $1.5 Billion. He has applied his learning to help numerous small and medium-sized businesses grow revenue and increase profits. One example - he saved a stagnant computer manufacturing and software development business from collapse by delivering the largest order in the company's history on time and under budget after the owners had already decided they could not deliver. He then went on to drive profit from breakeven to 10% and more than double revenue.
